The Beginning of Beginnings

Every great idea starts with a spark. Ours? It lit up in Bucharest, Romania, with a wide-eyed marketing graduate who couldn’t wait to dive head-first into the whirlwind world of advertising.

Advertising, for me, was always the place to be: buzzing with brilliant creatives, exciting projects, and that rare kind of work where you can laugh, hustle, and make magic happen all in the same day.

While on the hunt for an internship (and, let’s be honest, some extra cash), I landed a role at Godmother, an events agency specialising in digital activations. My job was to travel to events and run crowd-favourites like Photo Booths, Live T-shirt Printing, Digital Baristas, etc. I spent my days bouncing between slick conference halls and muddy festival fields, meeting people, creating experiences, and thinking: One day, I want this to be mine.

The first big break came quickly. Godmother needed extra hands for a huge international event. After months of intense preparation, they offered me a spot as Junior Account Executive on the events team. Just like that, I was officially in the game.

Fast forward five years and over 150 events for brands like Google, YouTube, IBM, Heineken, Schwarzkopf, Skanska, and some of the most influential local brands. I learned the ropes of everything from polished corporate conferences to outrageous festival activations. More importantly, I discovered that in events, every detail counts, from hiding cables 😊 to perfecting the flow of the day.

Then came another five years and a curveball: the Covid-19 pandemic. While the global events scene went into hibernation, we built a full-scale Events Studio in central Bucharest complete with LED walls, streaming tech, and hybrid event setups. I became fluent in the technical side of events, but something inside me still wanted more.

That “more” arrived in 2022, when I moved to the UK to join One1000, a boutique marketing and events agency in Surrey. The travel, the clients, the creative buzz were all fantastic, but the dream of running my own digital activations company remained alive and kicking.

Enter Gemma. Partner in crime, fellow event obsessive, and the missing piece of the puzzle. Together, we decided to build something we both believed in: a company that blends cutting-edge event technology with unforgettable experiences.

Our first love? The AI Photo Booth. Not just another booth, but one that transforms events into interactive playgrounds where guests can create one-of-a-kind, AI-generated images that are as original as they are. From branded experiences at product launches to immersive installations at festivals, our The AI Photo Booth Hire service is designed to wow your crowd, spark conversations, and deliver share-worthy content in seconds.

And that’s how Rentertain came to life; born from years of high-end event experience and an unshakable obsession with flawless execution. We deliver AI Photo Booths, Mirror Booth Rentals, and soon, even more cutting-edge digital activations to agencies, brands, and event planners who refuse to settle for “just another event.”

This is only the start of our story, and we cannot wait to help you create yours. Explore what we do at rentertain.events and let’s make something extraordinary together.
